Hydrangea arborescens ‘Annabelle’

Shrub: Hydrangea

Height: 4′ Width: 4′

Very large, white, globe-shaped bloom clusters adorn the tops of this showy shrub in summer. Rounded, prairie-hardy shrub with big, heart-shaped, green foliage. Mophead flower that is excellent for cutting and drying. An east-facing spot, sheltered from the hot afternoon sun is preferred: mulching the roots in winter protects in cold, exposed locations. Does best in fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Blooms on NEW wood: cut plant to a few inches from ground level in spring, before new growth emerges, to encourage new growth and the coming seasons blooms.

Available in select potted sizes.
