Upright, showy, shrub form Amur Maple. Large shrub with a spreading form. Small, yellow spring blooms and dark-green, lobed foliage that turns a striking scarlet-red in fall. Displays abundant showy, brilliant red samaras in summer. Great large accent shrub. Prefers acidic, well-drained soil. Very hardy; drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune as necessary only when tree is in full-leaf, about beginning of July.
