Tree: Oak

Long-lived, vigorous-growing, columnar, dense tree. Dark green, lobed foliage has a silvery underside and yellow-brown fall colour. Great as a vertical accent or specimen tree; prefers a sheltered area in zone 3. Resistant to air pollution; tolerates wet or dry conditions once established. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Very little pruning necessary, if needed prune in late winter/early spring while tree is dormant, dead branches can be removed anytime.
