Quaking/Trembling Aspen

Populus tremuloides

Tree: Poplar & Aspen

Height: 50′ Width: 20-26′
Sun: Full to Part Sun Zone: 2

Rounded, wide canopy on this hardy, fast growing tree. Smooth, pale bark is almost white and a great feature. Dark green, rounded foliage known for trembling in light wind, turns a warm yellow in fall. Attractive planted in groups; sometimes sold as ‘clumps’ or multistem. Good specimen tree or for naturalization and reclamation projects. Aspen grow best in moist, rich soil but can grow in a wide variety of soils and are very adaptable. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune while dormant as needed, late winter/early spring is best; suckers should be pruned down as soon as they appear.

Available in select potted and caliper sizes.
