Pink Spires Crabapple

Malus x ‘Pink Spires’

Tree: Ornamental Crabapple

Height: 16-20′ Width: 13-16′
Sun: Full Sun Zone: 2

Narrow, dense tree covered with showy, pink, spring blooms that mature to small, purple-red fruit that persist over winter. In spring leaves open purple-red then turn green-bronze and finally yellow-orange in fall. Good specimen tree for narrow areas and small yards. Needs well-drained soil but tolerates many other soil types. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. If necessary, prune immediately after flowering so next spring’s flower buds can form, for major pruning wait until late winter; suckers can be removed anytime.

Available in select potted sizes.
